Project Overview
DCIC has deployed an E-visa system at their head office. This is meant to help ease process of visa application, extension and renewal among other things at the respective border points.
Through the National IT Authority, the government of Uganda has extended fiber to almost all parts of the country and government agencies like DCIC rely on this fiber to extend their services to their remote border points.
Unfortunately not all border points are covered by the government fiber backbone.
Problem
The national IT Authority fiber does not reach all remote border points.
Solution
- Telekonet together with our mobile telecom partners designed a Wide Area Network solution which relies on the vast wireless network technologies to offer leased line services to DCIC so as to extend their services to all remote border points.
Conclusion
With our wireless solution, all border points are managed by the head office and E-visa is now used effectively at all these border points.
